I am pleased to announce that my work BILLBOARDS FOR INSTANT RELEASE, Metanoia has been selected and will be a part of the “Self As A Service”[SaaS], XOR SPACE pavilion at the 6th edition of The Wrong Biennale. The exhibition consists of a VR experience and a screening program which will be broadcast on The Wrong Television and Canal18o.pt from November 1st, 2023 to March 1st, 2024.
Self As A Service [SaaS] Beauty filters, instantly changeable avatars, cyber tribalism, new forms of stereotypes, and simulations that obscure the flaws, limitations, imperfections, and mistakes of real human beings are all the outcomes of digital reductionism and techno-capitalism. Digital technologies were supposed to help us achieve a more egalitarian society and mobilize individuals through equal accessibility, freedom of expression, and new means of social communication and relationships. But the affordances of digital systems along with the emergence of techno-capitalism, fuelled by neoliberal values and ideas, realized a radically different scenario.
XOR is an artist-driven hybrid collective space, dedicated to transcultural and interdisciplinary thinking, ideation, and collaboration to develop and promote radical and reforming dialogues through artistic experiences.

XOR is a Boolean logic operation that compares two input bits and generates one output bit. If the bits are the same, the result is 0. If the bits are different, the result is 1.
XOR is a manifestation of nonduality. To be accepted by this operation means being the total opposite of the other input while the output is singular trueness and unity.
XOR oscillates between the barriers of intellectual dualities, between virtual and actual, digital and physical, human and non-human, culture and nature, mechanic and organic, subject and object.

The Wrong Biennale is an art driven, innovative and collaborative biennial megashow, online and offline, bringing together curators, artists and institutions from all over the globe, open to participation and awarded with SOIS Cultura 2019 and an honorific mention at S+T+ARTS 2020.
