The Limassol 2030 European Capital of Culture Organization - Candidate City was established in November 2022 by the Limassol Municipality as an independent organization with the mission of claiming the title of European Capital of Culture. If the mission is successful, the organization will also undertake the implementation of the European Capital of Culture program until 2030.
The organization's vision is an inclusive and accessible journey through culture and the arts, so that our city can (re)invent itself and be reconstituted through the challenges it faces. Challenges that are unique, but also similar to those faced by all of Europe and its citizens.
