/ˈdʒɛnɪsɪs/

the origin or mode of formation of something.
The 56th May exhibition of the ULUPUDS is an annual review of the most significant achievements of the members of the Association from the sphere of applied arts, which, according to the established pattern, takes place under a thematic framework.
The theme of this year's May exhibition, chosen by the Art Council, is "Genesis", which aims to review the author's perception and present the diversity of seeing reality and its aestheticization through different media of artistic expression.
In the initial sense, the term appears for the first time in the book "Genesis" ("Book of Genesis" - Hebrew בראשיט Berešit; Greek Γένεσις; Latin Genesis), where it means the origin, and then the development of the world, as well as the new creation of matter , time and space.
Building on last year's theme of the exhibition "Bright future", this year's theme is directed towards the relativization of reality, which can be viewed from any aspect - from the aspect of the past, present and/or future. The inspiration that arises as a consequence of considering the creation of a new work of art is certainly a response to the very questioning of everyday life and our experience of reality in a subjective way. If we look at the topic from a collective point of view, we will conclude that the new era has led to the escalation of capitalist values, which every day lead to the creation of new content that is consumed in the broadest sense. Like technological development, every appearance of the New brings into consideration the importance of our presence in the present, which is on the threshold of new changes - upheavals that will lead to the genesis of something, for now, unknown and elusive to us...
