Adapting (to change) a visual experiment by Branka Cuca - 1st exhibition of my student Branka Cuca

As art teacher, I consider myself very blessed to work with all talented, exciting and amazing people.

I learn from them every time. Almost that sometimes I think soon they will reveal me and I will need to start pay to them instead.

I wish to all of my them to understand and embrace their uniqueness and beauty and fly free through art and life.

The biggest award for a teacher is to see that his words been heard from his pupil, which continue to challenge it and developing further in to a next possible stage.

When teacher and student is open-minded the roles between them are constantly exchanging.

They become art colleagues.

No religion or a principal should own the artist. He is free.

True artist is the one, which is forever hungry for knowledge, never board to spend hours turning, inspecting and questing all. Everything deserves our attention. In everything around us is true leaving energy and the philosophy of all. Only we need to open our vision!

Branka Cuca is one of those true artists.

So you can understand how proud and excited I am tonight!

We have great opportunity to see tonight-excellent exhibition visually and philosophically.

With her work, “Adapting to change” ,using ordinary but very symbolical form of pomegranate Branka revels her personal inner struggles .

But Instead of, like many, to berried herself in disabling confusions: “ can I do it? What I do?, should I stay or should I go? Or where I should be?”

She dares to come to grips with her doubts , fears of mistake, fears from unknown and emotional pain!

Branka turns all those “obstacles” to become her most powerful tools instead,

Acknowledging, in the same time, this soooo releasing fact, that life is actually a game - an adventure!

"Adapting to change" is a tribute to the countless possibilities and the beauty of their freeing powers.

Let’s play! Let’s us be free! There are no right answers. Only possibilities.

Adapting (to change) a visual experiment by Branka Cuca This autumn Art Etc Gallery welcomes you with a visual experiment from the world of drawing. The event entitled “Adapting (to change)” by Branka Cuca renders a collection of work completed over the past three years during her stay in Cyprus. The theme of the collection is a fruit, a pomegranate, which incidentally became the backbone of a wider exploration into shape, colour and the nature of line drawing. The fruit, in fact, is just a pretext for introducing an alternative abstract way of observing reality where everything is influenced by everything, where pretty and ugly, useful and useless, good and bad coexist and cultivate each other. With this installation, the artist invites the observers to join her in an intimate visual experience.
